Mary was born in Luanda, Angola, in 2008, and moved to Portugal at the age of sixteen to live with her godmother. She truly enjoys her school, though she deeply misses her family and friends back in Angola, as well as her mother’s cooking. Although she has written several diaries on her phone, this is her very first book. In the future, she hopes to continue this story and further hone her writing skills, all while pursuing her biggest dream: becoming a chef.
